A Consumer Proposal is a debt relief solution that allows you to reduce your debt by up to 80%, and repay it without interest.
For many Canadians who are struggling with debt, bankruptcy is not the only option. A Consumer Proposal may be a better solution for becoming debt free. At Spergel, you’ll work with a Licensed Insolvency Trustee who will take the stress out of dealing with your debt. The Trustee will create an alternate payment plan that you can afford, and then present this offer to your creditors. Once your offer is accepted (over 99% are), it becomes a legally binding agreement managed by your Trustee.

- You must be a Canadian resident
- Your unsecured debt* must be between $6,000 and $250,000
- You must be able to repay a portion of your debts
*Unsecured debt is debt not backed by collateral (like a mortgage or car loan). This could include credit cards, lines of credit, certain loans or unpaid bills.
